A great dish for fall and for entertaining. Also good game day food! This will make your house smell like an Italian restaurant! And it is super easy! For my version of Chicken Cacciatore you will need:1 package of boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
1 large green pepper, cored and cubed
1/2 large onion, cut in half moons
1 small can of sliced olives
1 medium tomato cored and sliced
1 8 ounce package sliced mushroom
1 can of Hunts prepared spaghetti sauce
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 cup red wine
Salt and Pepper
1 tablespoon sugar, agave or honey
Small dash of red pepper flakes
1 pound of pasta
1.) Combine all ingredients (except the pasta) in your slow cooker.
2.) Cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 6 hours.
3.) Cook the pasta following the package directions. Drain the pasta.
4.) Serve the cacciatore on top of the pasta.
